http://sportsmediajournal.com/page/3/ SPN Wins Night with Monday Night Football- ESPN reports that last night’s Monday Night Football contest between the Texans and Jets earned a 10.5 coverage rating and an audience of 14 million viewers, winning the night on both broadcast and cable. Through five weeks Monday Night Football is averaging a 10.4 rating and an audience of 13.9 million viewers, up 4% and 3% respectively over 2011. Ohio State/Nebraska Highest Rated College Football Game Last Saturday Night- ESPN also reported today that Saturday night’s telecast of Ohio State and Nebraska on ABC earned the network a 3.1 rating and 5.1 million viewers, winning the night on cable and broadcast television. ESPN’s Saturday night twin bill, Georgia/South Carolina and Washington/Oregon earned a 2.7 and 2.0 rating respectively. SiriusXM Radio to Hold Town Hall With Commissioner Goodell- SiriusXM Radio will be producing an exclusive radio town hall event featuring NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. During the event Commissioner Goodell will answer questions from SiriusXM audience members in studio. The special will be hosted by Michael Strahan and will air on SiriusXM NFL Radio (channel 88 on Sirius and XM Premier) on Monday, October 22, at 7:00 pm ET. NFL Turning Point Features Three Games- This week’s edition of NFL Turning Point on the NBC Sports Network will feature a look back at the key plays of the Broncos/Patriots, Packers/Colts, and Chargers/Saints games. Dan Patrick hosts the show with Rodney Harrison and Tony Dungy tomorrow night at 10:00p.m. ET. Concussion of UCLA Star Leads Tonight’s Edition of E:60- Tonight’s edition of ESPN’s news magazine E:60 will be lead by ABC News reporter Bob Woodruff’s investigation of concussions at UCLA. Woodruff interviews former UCLA linebacker Patrick Larimore, who retired prior to this season due to multiple concussions. Also on tonight’s show: Jeff Chadiha’s profile on the anchor of the New York Giants’ defender Justin Tuck and Jeremy Schaap’s story about a Madison County, Va. high-schooler, Jacob Rainey, who developed a special bond with the New York Jets’ Tim Tebow after the youth suffered a tragic on-field injury that required amputation of his right leg. E:60 airs tonight at 7:00p.m. ET.
