Strong Ratings for Monday Night Football- ESPN announced today that last night’s Monday Night Football telecast between the Broncos and Falcons earned the network a rating of 11.6 with an audience of 11.4 million households, winning the night on television, both broadcast and cable. The game earned a combined 40.3 rating in Denver and 28.8 in Atlanta. Through two weeks, Monday Night Football is averaging a 9.3 rating, even with 2011.
Baseball Tonight This Evening Coming from MLB Fan Cave- ESPN has announced that this evening’s edition of Baseball Tonight will originate from the MLB Fan Cave in New York. Karl Ravech and John Kruk will host the show beginning at 10:00p.m. ET.
1991 Ryder Cup to be Profiled on the Golf Channel- The Golf Channel will aid a documentary looking back at the 1991 Ryder Cup. War by the Shore, a 60 minute film looking back at the action from Kiawah Island, is produced by former HBO Sports president Ross Greenburg. The documentary debuts next Tuesday, September 25th at 9:00p.m. ET.
Boxing this Week on NBCSN- The NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) will have a three-fight card as part of its next Fight Night program this Friday. The headliner will feature middleweights Gabriel Rosado and Charles “Killa” Whittaker. Also on the card will be Light Heavyweight Sergey Kovalev and Lionell “Lonnie B” Thompson. Ronald Cruz faces Miami’s Antwone “The Truth” Smith in a welterweight bout. Kenny Rice will call the fights with trainer Freddie Roach and cruiserweight contender B.J. Flores. Chris Mannix will serve as the ringside reporter for each telecast which begins at 9:00p.m. ET
Stadium Super Trucks Action comes To NBC Sports in 2013- NBC Sports and Robby Gordon’s Stadium Super Trucks have announced a deal to bring the event to NBC and the NBC Sports Network beginning next year. The 2013 2013 Inaugural Stadium Super Trucks Season begins a run on the networks beginning next April.
