The "City Without Limits: Points of Pride" parade and community festival will depict milestones such as a turn-of-the-century visit to Allentown by Teddy Roosevelt. "People can literally watch history pass by," said parade chairman, the Rev. Bob Stevens. The parade will be divided into six divisions. Five will represent 50-year increments of history, from its founding by William Allen in 1862 to the present. The sixth division will represent the future.
