No playoffs for 'Pigs

One year after their International League postseason debut, the IronPigs missed out on the opportunity for a return trip when they lost 6-3 to the Buffalo Bisons at Coca-Cola Park. But the IronPigs' playoff fate had already been decided earlier in the evening as Pawtucket defeated Scranton/Wilkes-Barre 2-0 to clinch the wild-card berth. The IronPigs' season will officially end Monday against Buffalo in Allentown. Manager Ryne Sandberg's club is now 74-68 and trails second-place Pawtucket by four games in the North Division with two to play. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, at 83-59, clinched the division title last week.
