Piece of roof collapses at BWM North America distribution center in Lower Nazareth Township

FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

A three-foot section in the center of the roof collapsed at 7 this morning at the BMW North America distribution center in the 3800 block of Prologis Parkway in Lower Nazareth Township, according to Northampton County Emergency Dispatch and Colonial Regional police. It may have been caused by heavy snow.

The landlord was called in to make repairs, police said.

No one was hurt. A person who answered the phone at the distribution center, which is leased from ProLogis, refused to provide any information. No one answered the phone at BMW North America in Woodcliff Lake, N.J. A message was left for a ProLogis spokeswoman in Denver.

The building was evacuated, according to the county dispatch center, and a worker at the facility who was not on the job at the time said employees were sent home. The building appeared to be locked at 9:30 this morning. Roof damage was not obvious from outside the building.

The Hecktown Fire Co. also responded.
