Lady Antebellum will top the bill for the 2010 Great Allentown Fair, performing at 7 p.m. Sept. 2, according to a news release.
Truck driver turned American Idol finalist Danny Gokey will open, the release says.
Tickets go on sale to the public July 17. Cost is $35 for reserved seats on the open-air track and in the covered grandstand and $25 for general admission seating in both locations, the release says.
Speculation Lady Antebellum would be playing the Fair came in May when the group posted the Sept. 2 date on their Myspace page. The post was later removed.
Lady Antebellum's album “Need You Now,” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart when it was released in January including their smash-hit title track and “American Honey.” The band's debut album single “I Run to You,” earned a Grammy Award in February.
This is the sixth and final announcement for the 2010 Great Allentown Fair concert line-up, according to the release.
The box office will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 17. Tickets will also be available through Ticketmaster, online and over the phone. Regular box office hours continue from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays.
