Moravian softball beats Kean University for trip to NCAA World Series

Moravian College’s softball team is headed for NCAA College World Series.

The Greyhounds, the 24th-ranked team in the country, beat No. 3 seed Kean University today 5-0 in the NCAA Regional Championship, according to schools’ websites.

It was sophomore pitcher Jenna Carmon's third shutout of the regional tournament.

The first game of the college world series is 6:30 p.m. Friday against the winner of the Louisiana College/East Texas Baptist University game. The series is being hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire
