Rain wiped out most of today's baseball schedule, and with just two weeks remaining before the Lehigh Valley Conference and Colonial League playoffs, some teams are getting backed up with games.
One of those clubs is Easton Area High School, which now has six games scheduled over the next two weeks. (Most LVC teams have five conference games remaining on their schedule.) The Red Rovers play Northampton on Tuesday, Nazareth on Wednesday, Freedom on Friday, Emmaus on Saturday, Liberty next Tuesday and Bethlehem Catholic next Thursday. With an 11-3 record, Easton has already clinched a District 11 Class AAAA playoff berth but the Red Rovers are still battling for a spot in the LVC tournament.
On the contrary, many Colonial League clubs have just four games to be played over the next two weeks.
