Penn State won the big battle on New Year’s Day as its victory over LSU in the Capital One Bowl earned a 10 rating/19 share for 6ABC. The Mummers Parade on myPHL17 strutted to second place with a 6 rating/12 share, and the Winter Classic featuring the Flyers was third with a 6 rating/11 share.
The Mummers also beat the Tournament of Roses Parade, which aired on 6ABC and NBC10.
On New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest dominated at midnight with a 19 rating/39 share for 6ABC.
I turned on Dick Clark at midnight (I think it’s a national law), but before I was mostly watching Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper on CNN and switching to MTV with the Jersey Shore cast from time to time.
