Seventeen fireworks shows are planned at Coca-Cola Park this year, according to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs' promotional schedule.
The team will play 72 home games in 2010, but besides baseball action, fans can expect weekly specials, giveaways, theme nights and "appearances by top-notch live entertainment acts," the IronPigs Web site says.
“We’re the IronPigs -- and no team exhibits more zeal to make their fans squeal,” General Manager Kurt Landes says in a news release.
The action begins April 14, and the first Friday Night Fireworks installment is scheduled April 16.
WWE wrestler and commentator Jerry "The King" Lawler will visit Coca-Cola Park on Hero's Night, May 6.
The Phillie Phanatic will be at Coca-Cola Park on Aug. 9, the second installment of the third-annual "Bark in the Park" event on this year's schedule. The first is April 18.
Andy Tracy Bobblehead Night is July 26 -- the first 3,000 adult fans get the keepsake. Another Bobblehead Night on Aug. 5 honors Northampton High School graduate and current Philadelphia Phillies catcher Brian Schneider.
Break out your '60s, '70s and '80s attire for Decade Theme Nights, or celebrate your roots: Hispanic (June 30), Japanese (Aug. 12), Irish (Aug. 24) and Italian (Aug. 30) Heritage Nights are planned.
Grab giveaways such as travel mugs, pink visors, Allentown Cardinals throwback caps and flip-flops.
Saturday games will start at 6:35 p.m. this year, while most weekday games begin 7:05 p.m.
