Nazareth comes into tonight’s match at Shawnee Middle School fresh off a second-place finish at the Virginia Duals and ranked No. 1 in The Express-Times rankings.
Easton, ranked third, went 3-0 in its own invitational last weekend.
Red Rovers’ coach Steve Powell knows what to expect tonight.
“I guess judging by the rankings and lineups,” Powell said, “most people are probably picking Nazareth. But like the old saying goes, when Easton and Nazareth get together, you just never know.”
Nazareth coach Dave Crowell likes his team.
“I’m extremely happy with my team,” Crowell said. “Not primarily wins and losses but this is one of the most enjoyable teams I’ve coached. They’re reliable, dependable, they do what they’re supposed to do and they think ahead. They work very hard and they’re a joy to be with.”
