The Liberty Hurricanes are the defending District 11 Class AAAA girls basketball champions.
Off to a 9-0 start, a quintent of seniors -- April Andrews, Catherine Noack, Marisa Repasch, Erika Shumock and Maggie Serratelli -- are looking to challenge Central Catholic, Nazareth and Northampton and add an LVC crown this year.

"One of the biggest keys is our overall balance," said first-year coach Sam Senneca. "Everybody takes their turn."
The balance means that none of the Liberty players appears in the top 20 of the area scoring leaders but the Hurricanes do figure prominently near the top of the region rankings and sit in first place in the LVC East Division standings.
A player who is one of the top scorers is player of the week Andrea Veres of Bethlehem Catholic.
The senior guard went over 1,000 points for her career in December and is averaging 17.5 points per game this season
