PRESIDENT OBAMA WINS AWARD
President Barack Obama has won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize, according to the Norwegian Nobel Committee. It says Obama is receiving the award for "his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples." The committee says it attached special importance to Obama's vision of and work for a world without nuclear weapons.
