Nazareth Area High School senior middle hitter Tori Hamsher was named the Lehigh Valley Conference girls volleyball most valuable player by a vote of the LVC's 12 coaches. Hamsher, a Virginia Tech recruit, leads the first team that includes teammate Faye Lukas, a senior libero.
Others on the first team include Bethlehem Catholic freshman middle hitter Lauren Hess, Central Catholic's Audra Brady, Whitehall's Maggie Deichmeister, Emmaus' Erin Bond and Amanda Wallitsch and Parkland's Amanda Dougherty.
The honorable mention selections include Bethlehem Catholic senior Kelly Brown, Freedom sophomore Brianne Giangiobbe, Central Catholic's Colleen Nosovitch and Marika DeSanctis and Parkland's Taylor Wejskzner and Lauren Siebert.
