Thanks to the reader who forwarded some information on last night’s school board meeting. Prior to public comment at the end of the meeting, Board President Ken Butz announced his resignation from the position, but not the Board citing difficulties with other board members who have accused him of not being able to remain impartial when it comes to voting on resolutions after presiding over contract negotiations.
Also announced by Dr. Lesky is that the district is planning on holding an H1N1 vaccination clinic, and dates will be announced once they have vaccines in hand.
I looked through the board agenda and there wasn’t much to it. There was a transfer of $90,700 from the General Fund to the Capital Reserve Fund in order to purchase classroom computers for the intermediate school.
We also contracted for one year with a company in Pipersville, PA to provide equipment maintenance and calibration and necessary chemicals for the MS pool at a cost of $8,875.
