CBS won the NFL ratings sweepstakes in Week 3. Once again, the late
afternoon window scored over all of the broadcast windows. The Super
Bowl XLVIII rematch of Denver at Seattle (with some markets receiving
Kansas City at Miami) garnered a very good 16.9 overnight rating with a
huge 32 share in the 4:25 p.m. window. It was up 16% from last year’s
Week 3 late afternoon window for CBS which had three games split
regionally.
