The fragile nature of these rankings is now on full display. Hunterdon
Central, a Group 4 semifinalist last season, lost twice over the week,
including an overtime setback to rival North Hunterdon. As a result, the
Red Devils plummet from the rankings and everyone takes a step up.
Northwestern Lehigh also slides after falling to Moravian Academy and
Salisbury in the same week. Saucon Valley has gotten back to crushing
opponents and makes a climb to No. 3. North Hunterdon debuts at No. 9
and Hackettstown holds steady at 10, but figures to move one way or the
other with local competition on the upcoming schedule.
