Tuesday's LVC, Colonial and MVC softball roundup: Becahi, Catty with big wins

The first day of April brought decent weather. Not great, but better.
It was good enough for a lot of high school softball games to be played.
A recap:
LEHIGH VALLEY CONFERENCE
Emmaus 12, Dieruff 2 -- Claire Harris and Morgan Patterson two hits apiece. Green Hornets 3-0, 2-0 LVC; Huskies 0-2, 0-2.
Allen 4, CCHS 2 -- Kelly Maressa 2 hits, 2 runs; Jozelyn Diaz 3-4, 2 RBIs. Chicks 1-1, 1-1; Vikettes 1-1, 1-1.
Becahi 3, Freedom 1 -- Elyse Cuttic 7-hitter as pitcher; 2-3 RBI on offense; Julia Madison 2-4, RBI. Golden Hawks 3-1, 1-1. Patriots 2-1, 1-1.
COLONIAL LEAGUE
Northern Lehigh 8, Northwestern 6 -- Bulldogs got home runs from Amber Thomas and Taylor Herman, won it in the 10th. Bulldogs 1-1, 1-0 CL; Tigers 1-3, 1-2.
Salisbury 16, Notre Dame 6 -- Falcons bang out 17 hits. Meghan Williams had 4 hits, Jenna Keet, Racihel Constantini had 3 hits apeice and Thayla Creswell had two hits. Falcons 2-0, 2-1; Crusaders 0-3, 0-3.
Wilson 9, Saucon Valley 3 -- Devyn Losco 2-5, 4 RBIs. Warriors win opener. Panthers 1-2, 1-1.
Catasauqua 7, Pen Argyl 5 -- In rematch of last year's Colonial League title game and District 11 2A final, Roughies rallied from 5-1 deficit. Janae Matos and Shannon Gallagher 2 hits, 2 RBIs apiece. Emily Smull had two hits and knocked in four runs for the Green Knights. Roughies win opener, Green Knights 1-1, 1-1.
MOUNTAIN VALLEY CONFERENCE
Pleasant Valley 11, ES North 1 -- Brittany Bonser and Madison Shaneberger combined to go 4-for-4 with 5 RBIs. Bears 2-0, 1-0 MVC; Timberwolves 1-1, 0-1.
NONLEAGUE
Bangor 11, ES South 0 --- Lexi Kessler 3-4; Erin Happen 2-hitter, 8 Ks. Slaters win opener. Cavs 0-2.
Palisades 12, Lehighton 5 -- Melissa Albe 3-5, 3 runs, 3 RBIs; Megan McClintock 2-2. Pirates 1-1, Indians 0-2.
Easton 13, PM East 3 --  Miranda Youngkin had two hits and three RBIs; Taylor Barna tossed 3-hitter and struck out eight. Rovers 1-1, Cardinals 0-1.
