Lehigh's softball team was picked to finish first in the Patriot League's preseason poll and three Mountain Hawks were named to the preseason all-league team, including sophomore third baseman Morgan Decker as Player of the Year and junior Emily Bausher as Pitcher of the Year. In addition, sophomore second baseman Alexis Watanabe was named to the preseason all-league squad.
