Emmaus and Whitehall, who look like the teams most likely to fight it out for the LVC wild-card spot, both posted convinving wins on Monday night.

Here's a look:

Emmaus 80, Liberty 70 -- The Green Hornets showed they can play on a big court as well as they can on their small home court. Four players reached double figures led by Nate Feiertag's 23. The staggering thing here was how well Emmaus shot free throws, making 28 of 32. Oyeniyi had 26 for the 'Canes.

Whitehall 66, Freedom 46 -- Eight treys paved the way for the Zephs. Brett Radocha had one in scoring a game-high 20.

Pocono Mt, West 82, Dieruff 50 -- No Tyler Kohl (and no, I don't know why) and no chance for the Huskies against the very fast Panthers. Joe Wiggins loves playing against Allentown teams. He scored 26 here after registering 34 against Allen a couple of Mondays ago.

ES South 50, Pleasant Valley 38 -- Andre Jackson scored 18 as the Cavaliers kept alive their hopes of making the district playoffs.

Stroudsburg 90, Lehighton 52 -- Evan Choy made seven 3-pointers for the Mounties, who led 19-4 after the first quarter and never looked back. Looks like the concerns Rich Oertner had about his team at the start of the season and proven true because the Indians are getting blown out way too often.

Palisades 53, Palmerton 47 -- A close one as expected. The Pirates get their fifth win of the season, which is not bad for a team without a senior. And Palisades also has a chance against Northwestern later in the week.
