It may have still have been a win or two short of what they had hoped for, but in the eyes of most, this was a breakthrough season for the Dieruff football program.
Even Lehigh coach Andy Coen acknowledged the improvement when we talked at his weekly media gathering on Wednesday.
Remember, this was a program that had just one win over the last four seasons and was 7-92 over the previous 10 years.
To go 5-5 this year and be very competitive in at least three other games represented a vast step forward for the Huskies.
Last year, Dieruff didn't receive anything when it came time for the Mountain Valley Conference all-league selections. I have a feeling that's going to change this year.
