Super Bowl predictions from The Express-Times staff

FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

Staff Super Bowl predictions

Corky Blake (Rams fan) -- Tom Brady doesn't like chaos in the pocket and G-men will provide plenty of it. Giants, 24-21.

Bruce Buratti (Eagles fan) -- Tom Brady will exact revenge on the Giants and will walk off with the MVP trophy in an O.K. Corral shootout. Patriots, 38-34.

Kyle Craig (Jets fan) -- Do the Patriots still have Bruschi and Vrabel on that defense? No. Alright, well count this as my Stone Cold Lead Pipe Lock of the Century of the Week. Giants, 31-24.

Jim Deegan (Eagles fan) -- This just in: The Patriots have signed DeSean Jackson to return punts. Patriots, 31-17.

Josh Folck (Eagles fan) -- The Giants' defense doesn't have quite enough to slow down the Bill O'Brien-coordinated Patriots' offense. Patriots, 31-24

Brian Fortner (Cowboys fan) -- Tom Brady did not play well in the win over the Ravens in the AFC title game. He has something to prove. He also isn't about to go 0-3 to Eli and the Giants. Patriots, 30-24.

Chuck Givler (Lions fan) -- Look for Brady & Co. to rain on the parade up Broadway. Patriots, 30-20.

Janelle Greer (Bills fan) -- Here's hoping the Giants can do it again. Giants, 32-28.

Tom Hinkel (Bengals fan) -- Big Blue turns the Brady Bunch into the Beverly Hillbillies. Giants, 31-20.

Ryan Holmes (Falcons fan) -- Looks like trouble in this week's episode of the Brady Bunch. Giants, 27-17.

Jay Kamery (Bills fan) -- Eli Manning will never be an elite quarterback and this Super Bowl will prove it. Patriots 106, Giants -2 or Pats, 28-10.

Ed Laubach (Redskins fan) --Eli continues to emerge from Peyton's shadow. Giants, 31-28.

Michael LoRĂ© (Giants fan) -- They say history repeats itself. I might as well watch my Super Bowl XLII DVD today. Giants, 21-17.

Barry Miller (Browns fan) -- Most signs point to the Giants -- a disruptive defense, the elite play of Eli Manning and an opportunistic big-play offense. But I can't see the Giants upsetting a Tom Brady-led Patriots team in two straight Super Bowls. Patriots, 34-23.

Joseph P. Owens (Eagles fan) -- As an Eagles fans, it's a requirement to root against the Giants and since it's been proven the Patriots break the rules, I can find no rooting interest in this game. I plan to rent a chick flick instead of watching these two teams. Niners vs. Ravens would have been way more interesting. Patriots, 38-17.

Anthony Salamone (Giants fan) -- I like the Giants a lot, but the Patriots have the revenge factor, even though most players on both teams weren't around for Super Bowl XLII. Plus, the Patriots' jerseys offer another clue why they will win: The letters MHK, for owner Robert Kraft's late wife, Myra Hiatt Kraft, provide extra incentive. Patriots, 27-20.

Bob Wechsler (Ravens fan) -- These Giants are better than the ones that beat the Patriots four years ago. Pass defense lets the Patriots down. Giants, 31-20.

Brad Wilson (Dolphins fan) -- This is like Star Wars as young Eli Giantwalker battles the Evil Empire led by Emperor Belichick and Darth Brady. I'm rooting for the good guys. But Sunday will be a day to be a villain. Patriots, 42-33.
