FROM KEITH GROLLER
What past baseball player do you hear more than any other?
Hank Aaron?
Babe Ruth?
Barry Bonds?
Bob Gibson?
Mike Schmidt?
Mario Mendoza?
All good guesses.
But no one gets mentioned more than Tommy John and he's our guest today on the "Calling All Sports" radio show, heard from 9-11 a.m. on AM 1470, the Fox, and online at fox1470.com.
Tommy was a very good pitcher, but, of course, his career-prolonging surgery has become one of the most common medical procedures in all of sports. Not a day goes by that you don't hear somebody say, "He's going to need Tommy John surgery" or "He's coming back from Tommy John surgery."

If you miss the interview live at 10, you can go to the fox1470.com site, type "Podcasting" in the keyword and look up the July 23 show for "Calling All Sports."
Other guests include IronPigs broadcaster Matt Provence and Billy Staples.
Staples is the co-founder of the BEST scholarship program which has its gala reception Sunday night at the Sands and its golf tournament on Monday at the Bethlehem Golf Club.
More than 50 former athletes, including John, Jim Eisenreich, Darren Daulton and others will be involved.
To participate on the show, call 610-432-5767.
