Comments: Freedom’s big week moves the Patriots into the No. 3 spot behind what we strongly suspect will be the 1-2 teams the rest of the way. Phillipsburg looked absolutely dominant against Parkland and Bound Brook, and in almost any other region the Stateliners would be No. 1, but Bethlehem Catholic is in a different league. Looking at Easton and Parkland’s scores versus Phillipsburg, and having a general sense that the Rovers would win a rematch with the Trojans, we have Easton at No. 4 and Parkland at No. 5. The second five present a problem; the single result that ties the rankings up is Warren Hills’ 32-29 defeat of Emmaus in December, a win that was no fluke at all. But Hunterdon Central’s defeat of the Blue Streaks leaves them in the same position as North Hunterdon last week: they should be behind Central, but ahead of Emmaus. Delaware Valley, which beat Central and had a terrific win over Lenape Valley Friday, needs to be ahead of them all. We settle the issue by putting Northampton in; the K-Kids own a win over Easton, remember. The result is what you see below.
