Girls soccer rankings for Oct. 1, 2014

The top-ranked team goes down once again in the rankings as Hunterdon Central falls to Ridge on Tuesday. The Red Devils drop to No. 3 with the loss. Nazareth takes the top spot in the rankings after wins over Northampton and Emmaus. The Blue Eagles' top ranking will be challenged right away as they travel to play Whitehall on Wednesday night. The Zephyrs drop two spots after losing to Central Catholic on Monday. The Vikings move up to No. 7 after the double-overtime win over the Zephyrs. Northwestern is at No. 2 after impressive 5-1 victories over Central Catholic and Southern Lehigh. The Spartans fall to the ninth spot with the loss and Saucon Valley drops one position with a non-league defeat to Freedom. Parkland moves up to No. 5 and will play Central Catholic on Wednesday. Easton enters the rankings for the first time as Notre Dame makes a return to the top 10.
