Disney Channel has ordered a second season of the comedy series Girl Meets World. Since its June 27 premiere, Girl Meets World
has ranked as television's number one series among Kids 2-11, Kids 6-11
and Tweens 9-14. To date, it has generated 4.7 million views on the
WATCH Disney Channel app for mobile devices. Girl Meets World was
created by Michael Jacobs and April Kelly and is executive-produced by
Jacobs. It stars Rowan Blanchard, Sabrina Carpenter, Ben Savage,
Danielle Fishel, August Maturo, Peyton Meyer and Corey Fogelmanis.
Production resumes in Los Angeles in November. Season one introduces
best friends Riley and Maya as they navigate the ups and downs of junior
high; episodes include special appearances by several beloved
characters from Boy Meets World, including Mr. Feeney, who guest
starred in the series premiere (played by William Daniels) and Minkus
(actor Lee Norris) in an episode premiering Friday, August 15. The
series airs Fridays at 8:30pm only on Disney Channel.
