Nazareth's school colors are blue and white, but many Blue Eagles fans will be wearing green on Friday night at Leh Stadium for the team's season opener against Pleasant Valley.
The "Greene Out" will be held In honor of missing Nazareth school teacher Matthew Greene. Nazareth's "Blue Crue" student section will be wearing green to show support for Greene, who has been missing for weeks after going on a hike and climb with friends in Mammoth Lakes, Calif.
Authorities continue to search for Greene, age 39.
"The student body is organizing this," new athletic director Joe Silimperi said. "This is a positive endeavor for the kids. Hopefully we can get the word out.'
Also helping out with the cause is Nazareth's No. 1 fan, Andy Weaver, who will be at his post taking taking before the game.
