Some clarity in Colonial League boys basketball playoff picture, and updated standings

http://blogs.mcall.com/groller/ FROM KEITH GROLLER Catasauqua athletic director and Colonial League basketball chairman Tom Moll has just put out a release clarifying quite a bit about next week's tournament. At this point three teams are in, and the final spot will come down to either Salisbury or Catasauqua. There is still some seeding to be resolved as well, but it doesn't really matter because we know that Notre Dame and Bangor are going to be playing in one of next week's semis. Wilson will be playing in the other semi as the top seed. Here's what Tom sent out: Boys Semifinals Tuesday, February 12th at Southern Lehigh High School 6:00pm #2 Bangor/ Notre Dame-Green Pond vs. #3 Bangor/ Notre Dame-Green Pond 7:30pm #1 Wilson vs. #4 Salisbury/ Catasauqua Salisbury clinches the 4th seed if they beat Southern Lehigh Salisbury clinches the 4th seed if Catasauqua loses to Northwestern Lehigh Catasauqua clinches the 4th seed if they beat Northwestern Lehigh and Salisbury loses to Southern Lehigh Bangor and Notre Dame-Green Pond will play each other in the semifinals…2/3 seeding remains to be determined Here are the latest Colonial League standings: NORTH DIVISION *Bangor 13-2, 16-5 *Catasauqua 11-4, 15-6 *No. Lehigh 8-7, 13-8 Northwestern 4-11, 7-14 Pen Argyl 1-13, 4-16 Palmerton 0-14, 0-20 SOUTH DIVISION *Wilson 14-1, 20-1 *Notre Dame 12-3, 13-8 *Salisbury 11-4, 14-7 *So.
