NBC Sees Viewership Gains with Hockey Day In America Telecasts-  NBC Sports reported today that its third season of its Hockey Day In America telecasts were a viewership success.  The second game of its doubleheader on NBC (Kings/Blackhawks) was up 31% compared to last season, while NBC Sports Network’s evening game (Capitals/Rangers) was up 200% vs. a comparable 2012 game.
Pioli Joins SiriusXM Radio- SiriusXM Radio has announced that former Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli has been gired by the network as a football analyst.  Pioli will make his debut as an analyst during SiriusXM NFL Radio’s coverage of the NFL Combine in Indianapolis from February 21 through February 24.  SiriusXM NFL Radio channel can be found on channel 88 with Sirius and XM Premier.
NFL Network Invites Fans to be Part of Run Rich Run-  The NFL Network is asking fans to run the 40 yard dash with host Rich Eisen.  Eisen has been running the dash in his suit for years and NFLN is asking fans to videotape their runs in their work uniforms.  The best and worst videos will be featured on-air Tuesday, Feb. 26, during the NFL Combine coverage on NFL Network …just before Rich’s run.
Friday Night Fights on ESPN-  This week’s edition of Friday Night Nights on ESPN will feature an IBF Title fight between current Junior Welterweight titlist Lamont Peterson (30-1-1, 15 KOs) and former Junior Welterweight titlist Kendall “Rated R” Holt (28-5, 16 KOs) in the 12-round main event.  Joe Tessitore and Teddy Atlas have the call with Todd Grisham as pre and post fight host.
Fight Night Returns to NBC This April-  NBC Sports announced that its Fight Night Series will return to the network on April 20th.  Kenny Rice, Freddie Roach , B.J. Flores and Chris Mannix will call the action beginning at 4:00p.m. ET.
CBS Sports Spectacular this Sunday-  CBS Sports will present Bikes and Bulls at this Sunday’s CBS Sports Spectacular telecasts.  The action begins at 12:00p.m. ET as Frank Frederick narrates a mid-season review of the Monster Energy Supercross series.  At 1:00:p.m. ET CBS will telecast the Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Invitational from Kansas City.
