TOASTING TO HOPE: Habitat for Humanity's 8th annual signature event, "A Toast to Hope with Habitat" will be 7-10 p.m. Thursday at SteelStacks in Bethlehem. The event includes a silent auction, gourmet tastings from area restaurants, and wines from around the world. Proceeds benefit Habitat's Home Building Program for local families. RAISE A GLASS: 5th Annual Friend Fest, a beer-and-wine tasting event, will be Feb. 23 at Beltzner Hall at theKutztown Fairgrounds. Proceeds help the social agency Friend Inc. Community Services, which works to end poverty in rural northeastern Berks County. Three sessions run 1-3:30, 4-6:30, and 7-9:30 p.m. Live music during each. Must be 21 or older. Food available for purchase. Buy $40 per person advance tickets athttp://www.friendfest.org;. Tickets are $50 at the door. Designated-driver, $10.
OSCAR BASH: The 9th Annual Oscar Bash to benefit Pride of the Greater Lehigh Valley starts at 7 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Allentown Brew Works High Gravity Lounge and ends when the last Academy Award is handed out. A $25 admission includes appetizers, pasta bar, a complimentary Oscar-tini, drink specials, swag bag, silent auction, raffles, trivia with prizes and grand prize for the most correct guesses on the Oscar ballot.
