Player of the Week
Jeremy Ringland, Bangor

Bangor boys basketball coach Bron Holland said he’s more demanding of junior Jeremy Ringland in practice than any other Slaters player.
“That’s because he has the most potential,” Holland said. “He’s 6-foot-5, he can shoot threes, he can post up, he can take it off the dribble. I just think he needs to bulk up. He has been soft at times.”Feb. 14, 2013 download 004
Ringland got tough for Bangor in Tuesday’s semifinal win over Notre Dame, registering 17 points and 10 rebounds to send the Slaters to the Colonial League finals.
“The last couple of games he has been physical and got some tough rebounds in the paint and some putbacks,” Holland said. “I just think the sky’s limit for him. The better he can play in the paint and dominate in the post, the better he makes us.”
Ringland, whose brother Justin is a freshman standout at Northampton Community College, said he’s counted on to score and “do whatever I can down low to help us win the game. That’s what I try to do.”
