All NFL Media is Local- Super Bowl XLVII

But we feel the best way to learn about the two teams is through the work of the local media covering each club. Here is a compilation of some of the local media outlets covering the Ravens and 49ers for the Super Bowl: Baltimore Ravens Local Media Newspaper- One of the most underrated mid-sized newspapers in the Country is the Baltimore Sun. It has a long tradition of having a comprehensive sports section. The online version of the paper has a page dedicated to the Ravens. Beat writers Jeff Zrebiec (Twitter), Aaron Wilson (Twitter), Matt Vensel (Twitter), Mike Preston, and Edward Lee also maintain the Ravens Insider Blog. Columnists Kevin Cowherd (Twitter) and Peter Schmuck (Twitter) will also offer commentary on the team. Baltimore has its own weekly sports newspaper, the Press Box. Sports Radio- WBAL and 98 Rock serve as the home of the Ravens Radio Network. Gerry Sandusky (Twitter), Stan White, and Qadry Ismail (Twitter) call the action. To talk Ravens, tune into sports talker 105. The Fan. Television- Among the television stations on the Baltimore beat include WBAL, WBFF, WJZ and WMAR. San Francisco 49ers Local Media Newspaper- The dominant daily in the city is the San Francisco Chronicle. Its online sports page (and the rest of the paper online) is part of SF Gate.com. The sports section has a page dedicated to the 49ers. Beat writers Kevin Lynch (Twiiter) and Eric Branch (Twitter) also maintain the Niner Insider blog. With columnists like Scott Ostler (Twitter) you can expect plenty to be written about the Niners. Sports Radio- KNBR and KSAN serve as the flagships to the 49er Radio Network. Ted Robinson (Twitter) handles play-by-play with Eric Davis (Twitter) adding commentary. KNBR and KGMZ are two outlets for sports radio talk on the 49ers. Television- KGO, KNTV, KPIX, KTVU are the major television outlets in San Francisco. Comcast SportsNet Bay Area also covers the team.
