FROM THE MORNING CALL
The Lehigh Valley's No. 2-rated 99.9 FM "The Hawk" is among five local radio stations expected to come under new ownership as early as later this month.
Connoisseur Media of Westport, Conn., has agreed to buy the stations, along with two in the Wilkes-Barre and Scranton area and three in New Jersey, for $41.5 million, though the deal is contingent upon reassignment of broadcasting licenses by the Federal Communications Commission, according to Connoisseur owner Jeff Warshaw.
"They are great radio stations in markets we've always wanted to own stations in," Warshaw said of the group of 10 stations.
