Phillies radio broadcasts now available on FM

FROM KEITH GROLLER

Phillies baseball games can now be heard on FM radio. That was revealed in a release put out by the Phillies on Monday.

The Phillies will continue to be heard on AM-1210, but now the five-time National League East champs can also be heard on FM at 94WIP. Both stations are owned by CBS Radio.

WPHT (AM-1210) has been the team's flagship station for a long time, but adding a FM option figures to be quite popular with the fans.

The agreement takes effect in time for spring training games next month.

Scott Frankze and Larry Andersen will return as the main radio team with others such as Jim Jackson popping in the booth from time to time.

In the Lehigh Valley, the Phillies can also be heard on AM-1470, the Fox.
