ESSROC CITED

FROM ROSS NUNAMAKER

The PA DEP has cited Essroc and fined them $50,000 for air quality violations according to an article in the Express-Times.

The violations were both emissions and monitoring (lack of) related. The company indicated that monitoring equipment was disrupted by lightning strikes and back-up systems failed. These issues are said to now be corrected. The violations took place from 2006 – 2009.
