Two attractive Lehigh Valley Conference games -- Nazareth at Easton on Sept. 10 and CCHS at Parkland on Oct. 15 highlight the local portion of the PCN schedule that was released earlier today.
The CCHS-Parkland game should be a dandy, and I have one question that I am not sure I will get answered. Why is that game at Parkland for the second straight year? I covered that matchup in Orefield last season and find it curious that the Trojans host the Vikings again. No matter where it's played I am sure CCHS will be looking for revenge for the Andre Williams-led Parkland win last season.
Anyway, here is the release from PCN, and I have a feeling more local games will be added to the schedule later on because PCN admires the work that Service Electric and RCN provide with our local coverage. Service Electric has done the state finals for football, basketball and softball for several years and RCN has done the state baseball championships.
PCN FOOTBALL “GAME OF THE WEEK” SCHEDULE RELEASED
With summer quickly drawing to a close, the Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) is pleased to officially release its 2010 “Game of the Week” schedule. Once again, the network has focused on high school teams with players that coaches, college scouts, the media, and fans predict will go on to future high profile college and professional careers on the gridiron.
Viewers across Pennsylvania will be able to get their football fix as PCN, along with local cable television production crews, provides statewide coverage throughout the network’s scheduled season.
Coverage during regular-season play leads up to PCN's exclusive LIVE coverage of the PIAA high school football championships in Hershey. This year’s state championships are scheduled for Friday, December 17 and Saturday, December 18.
