1. What have you been up to since we last interviewed back in May of last year?
I just finished collecting tickets for Nazareth High School Football, Basketball and Wrestling Events and now back coaching softball once this cold weather we are having gets out of here!
2. Talk about some of your extracurricular activities you are involved in. What is your role for the local Pa government?
I Help the Northampton County Excetive Lamont Mclure by sharing all his important announcements on social events, flyers and important news.
3. What does Andy like to do in his down time when he not busy coaching or helping with the government?
I Listen to Soft Rock Music on the radio and play casino games on the computer.
4. What was school like for you growing up Andy?
It was fun. i never wanted to miss any days, i always wanted to go. It kept my energy high knowing i had something each day!
5. Did you attend college? If not would you consider going to college in the future?
I attended Hiram G Andrews Center in Johnstown PA From 2005-2008 for Accouting but after i graduated in 2008 I Realized i wanted to work with the youth. I Would get bored in a office with no people. At College i helped closed the recreation room each night at 10:30pm!
6. How does being involved in extra activities help you grow and develop as a person?
Its a good feeling each day to have activities each day and knowing i can make a difference in people lives each and every day in some way some shape or form.
7. What’s the one thing you would like to be able to do in the future that you have not done yet?
I Would love to Collect Tickets and Coach Without being in a wheelchair but i think thats a long shot but never say NEVER GIVE UP HOPE!
8. How do you think others would describe you as a person?
Nice, Kind and Sweet and always helpful!
9. You have significant disabilities, what are some of the ways you cope with this and how do you overcome constant adversity on a daily basis?
I Try everyday to look on the postive side and know it could always be worse!!!
10. Do you think you’ll live in Nazareth the rest of your life? Have you considered living anywhere else?
I Think i will always live at my house in Nazareth, maybe one day i will move into a apartment, maybe.
11. How do you keep a positive attitude every day?
I Wake up each day and try to make everyday like its the last. no time to waste being sad or angry, it like taking a day away from our lives.
12. You’ve taught others how to deal with adversity in stride, have you learned anything from the people you’ve coached that has helped you along in your life?
Yes i learned some pointers from the other coaches like the steps we do at practices!
13. How did you get into coaching in the first place?
I Knew somebody in 2013 And they thought it would be a great way to inspire the kids having somebody in a wheelchair with a dissability.
14. What’s your favorite aspect of coaching that you look forward to the most?
To know i can make a postive impact on the kids is the best feeling ever. It truly is!
15. What’s your favorite food to eat and why?
I Like Chicken! Any kind of Chicken is my favorite! I Eat Anything though, I am not picky! When i am hungry i eat anything!
16. Do you have any destination vacations you would like to take in the future?
I Like walking the Boardwalk in the Summer and playing the games they have!
17. What’s your favorite thing about living in Nazareth, PA? 18. Do you think you’ll ever try to grow a beard someday?
I Don't think i will ever grow a beard.
19. What’s your drink of choice most days?
Coke is my favorite drink followed by Orange Soda.
20. What would you consider to be your favorite music and why? Which genre? Artist?
I Like anything that is Soft Rock. I Do like Sweet Caroline though by Neil Diamond.
21. Any last words of wisdom or advice you’d like to offer the audience before we sign off?
My words of wisdom is to never give up on any dreams they might have and know anything and anything is possible if you put your mind to it!
