Northwestern had its most successful season in school history,
advancing to the PIAA Class AA semifinals. Whitehall avenged three
earlier losses to Parkland in the District 11 Class AAA semifinals and
went on to win the title. Parkland beat the Zephyrs in penalty kicks to
win the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference title. Saucon Valley was the
only area team to beat Northwestern this season. All of Nazareth's
losses came against either Whitehall or Parkland. Hunterdon Central won
the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament. Southern Lehigh lost two
one-goal games to top-ranked Northwestern in the postseason. Central
Catholic got a win over Whitehall in the regular season. Emmaus beat
Whitehall and tied Parkland in the regular season. Easton had a 14-game
winning streak in the regular season.
