FROM EXPRESS TIMES
The EPC will be good for the building programs
While
some of the teams at the top are less than thrilled with the new
league, the Lehigh Valley’s rebuilding teams could well benefit. Take Allen,
where Pius X graduate Keith Smith is in his second year of his project
to bring the Canaries back as a team to reckon with. Allen went 3-15
last season, but Smith said the team will have a full lineup. Against
the EPC schedule the Canaries will face, they should be more
competitive, though they still face meets with Easton, Nazareth and Parkland.
The league’s strength-based scheduling should benefit others in Allen’s
boat As Smith said, “The EPC should be interesting and very
competitive.”
