FROM KEITH GROLLER

The Joseph J. DeVivo Memorial Golf Tournament, a tournament that honors the life of a longtime Monroe County educator who was senselessly abducted and killed last year, is coming up on Sunday. It's the second annual tournament and a great way to remember an outstanding man.
The late Mr. DeVivo's son is a former Express-Times sports writer and a good guy and he's doing what he can to make this a most special event again.
From what I understand, they are still looking for golfers. Here are the details:
10 a.m. Sunday, July 21
Country Club of the Poconos, Marshalls Creek, PA
Entry fee $85 per golfer includes greens fees, cart, a buffet and goodie bag.
All proceeds benefit Joseph J. DeVivo Memorial Scholarship
The first recipient is Ashley Kennedy of East Stroudsburg North. Ashley ran cross country and track, was a member of the school's marching band and symphonic band, and a member of the National Honor Society. She will attending West Chester University, majoring in elementary education and special education.
More than $2,000 worth of prizes will be given away. The prizes include 2 tickets to the NASCAR race on August 4 at Pocono Raceway, a $200 gift card to Parx Casino, and a day at the races package with a race named in your honor and trophy presentation at Belmont Park in New York.
