HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania state representatives are back in the Capitol, about two weeks after heading back to their districts for their annual summer break from Harrisburg.
Lawmakers convened early Monday afternoon to vote on a budget-related bill that had been held up over a payday lending provision.
The unusual voting session was required after the Senate stripped out a provision that suggested Republican leaders in both chambers favored legalization of the high-interest payday loans.
