PA House Marathon this week and it not even close to being over yet!!!!!! Monday Night, they were in session from 6:00pm to 11:05pm at Night! Tuesday they were in session at 9:00am in the morning already! Yes, you did not hear me wrong, 9:00am in the morning! Bright and Early!!! Breakfast with the PA House!!!!!!! It not too often I can eat a Bagel and be able to watch the PA House at the same time!!!! That was neat eating breakfast with the PA House! There is a new rule now that they can't go past 11:00pm at night! Nomore Midnight! They will start at 9:00am in the morning all this week most likely! At this rate, they may even have to work on the 4th of July if they don't start picking up speed here!
HEALTH INSURANCE: The House formed a task force to study the cost of health insurance and access to quality health care. The resolution, which passed 162 to 39, directed the panel to explore ways to guarantee health coverage to all state residents. Pennsylvania has an estimated 750,000 uninsured adults, and a key element of Gov. Ed Rendell's Prescription for Pennsylvania has been to find a way to cover them. The task force was given four months to issue recommendations. (HR 334) AUTISM INSURANCE: House Speaker Dennis O'Brien pushed for one of his favorite causes — better health insurance coverage for autism — during a rally in the Capitol. O'Brien called it "an issue of civil rights for thousands of Pennsylvanians." A pending bill would require private insurers to cover up to $36,000 annually for autism services. (SB 550) Also, Being Discussed is: Transportation Funding.Gov. Ed Rendell said Monday he remains committed to increasing the state sales tax as a way to cut school property taxes dollar-for-dollar, even though he declared an immediate tax increase unnecessary to support state spending.
Several major items could see action this week as the General Assembly goes into high gear:
STATE BUDGET: The fiscal year ends Saturday.
TRANSIT AND HIGHWAYS
PROPERTY TAX CUTS
ENERGY INDEPENDENCE
PRESCRIPTION FOR PENNSYLVANIA
2 Announcements I must make:
1st One:
Due to the 4th of July on Wednesday next week, My Wednesday E-mail Will be on Tuesday next week!! I will have E-mails on Monday, Tuesday and Friday next week! That will sure feel weird having off in the middle of the week next week.It will feel like a extra Sunday. I think the State should of gave the school Thursday and Friday Off next week but oh well.
I really don't see many Students go home on Tuesday and come back Wednesday. That would be a little silly to do. I get Double the Pay working on a Holiday!!!!!! Myself along with my co-workers in Recreation will have to schedule a Picnic or something for Students!
2nd Thing:
A Recent Rulement that tooked place in Washington D.C. A U.S. House Bill is trying to raise the rate for Internet Radio on the Web.
Tuesday was Day in Silence to get People's Attention. I don't know if you realized or not that you were un able to listen to Internet Radio on the Internet.
July 15th Internet Radio will be no longer if people don't act on this immediately.
It been on all the National News Channels in the Country.
If you are a fan of listening to Talk Shows, Music, Sports and everything Else, you need to act right now by calling your local representative right now to tell them to keep internet Radio.
If people don't act, On July 15th we would not be able to watch no Tv Shows, no Sports Events or no Music ever again.
LOTS AND LOTS Of money will be lossed if nobody act right now.
It would be the most devasting thing ever in the World if it does occur on July 15th.
