CBS All Access subscribers can enter the fifth dimension beginning
Monday, April 1, 2019 (no foolin') with the premiere of the service's
latest original series, The Twilight Zone. The series will debut
with two episodes. Following the series premiere, new episodes of the
anthology series will be available on demand weekly on Thursdays
beginning April 11, exclusively for CBS All Access subscribers. The
announcement was made at CBS' biannual Television Critics Association
presentation.

The State of the Union Address was supposed to be last night, but as we all know it didn't happen and is delayed to next Tuesday (Feb. 5) instead. So the networks have to reschedule yet again. NBC is adjusting original episodes of This Is Us, The Village and New Amsterdam to accommodate. It's the finale dates that get affected. On Tuesday, April 2, the season finale of This Is Us will now air on this date at 9:00pm ET/PT followed by an original episode of The Village. The Village will move to its 9pm ET time period the following week for the remainder of the season which was already announced. And now the season of New Amsterdam will now air a week later through Tuesday, May 21. For Fox, Tuesday dramas Lethal Weapon and The Gifted will now have their season finales a week later on Tuesday, February 26. And this means MasterChef Junior and Mental Samurai will now launch yes, a week later, on Tuesday, March 5. ABC and CBS have not released what the impact will be for their Tuesday series, but ABC's American Housewife is still premiering its new night and time Tuesdays at 8pm slot on Tuesday, Feb 5, followed by an original episode of The Kids Are Alright. But black-ish, Splitting Up Together and The Rookie could likely end their season a week later, or a week of less reruns. ABC aired repeats of its Tuesday comedies and The Rookie last night.

Dramas FBI and Magnum P.I., and comedy The Neighborhood will all return to the Network next year for a second season. FBI, from Emmy Award-winning producer Dick Wolf, is a top 10 series and CBS' #1 new show, averaging almost 13 million viewers each week. The fast-paced drama stars Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, Jeremy Sisto, Ebonee Noel and Sela Ward. In addition to Wolf, Rick Eid, Terry Miller, Arthur W. USA Network announced it has renewed its longstanding legal drama Suits for a 10-episode ninth and final season. The iconic hit series, which first aired on USA Network in 2011, hails from UCP and creator/executive producer Aaron Korsh. Suits began when legendary hotshot lawyer Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) took a gamble by hiring Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), a brilliant, but not-so-legitimate college dropout, as an associate at his prolific Manhattan law firm. Over several seasons, this dynamic duo along with Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres), Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman), Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty), and Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle), became a family intertwined in one another's triumphs and tribulations, including countless corporate takeovers, a wild prison storyline, a shocking disbarring and a magical wedding.

Season 4 of the poly-romcom You Me Her to premiere Apr. 9 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. And season 3 of Stephen King's trilogy adaptation Mr. Mercedes to begin production Feb. 19. In the comedy, You Me Her, John Scott Shepherd continues as showrunner and executive producer. Alta Loma's Peter Jaysen and Alan Gasmer also serve as executive producers with Jonathan Schwartz producing. Jem Garrard directs all 10 episodes of season 4. A sort of reunion of The Office? Steve Carell, and producers Greg Daniels and Howard Klein will reunite for the Netflix original comedy series Space Force. The '80s Sherman Hemsley sitcom joins series like The Steve Harvey Show, Married...with Children, All in the Family, Walker Texas Ranger, Sanford & Son and Good Times on their weekday lineup. Amen is airing weekdays from 6-7am. As of now, no other timeslots for the series but this is a start! Amen of course stars Sherman Hemsley, Clifton Davis, Anna Maria Horsford, Roz Ryan, Barbara Montgomery, Jester Hairston, Tony T. Johnson, Elsa Raven, and Bumper Robinson. Just months after The Jeffersons wrapped its 11-season run, Hemsley moved on down I-95 to his native Philadelphia — or a TV studio depicting it — for six seasons on Amen on NBC. Hemsley plays Ernest Frye, a Philly attorney who's just as greedy, opinionated, and stubborn as George Jefferson, but with a twist. He's a church deacon with little patience for those who disagree with him on how to run the parish. Enter Rev. Reuben Gregory (Clifton Davis), a young pastor on a mission to be the angel on Deacon Frye's shoulder. Conflict ensues, especially regarding Frye's unmarried daughter Thelma (Anna Maria Horsford).

Happy New Year to everyone out there! Hope 2019 brings you all some good fortune. We have some news on the MeTV Winter schedule that starts on January 28. There isn't much to change and has very minor tweaks to the lineup. The only changes are Star Trek returning to the schedule replacing Battlestar Galactica on Saturday nights at midnight. The Time Tunnel also returns and will air Saturday late nights from 4-5am, replacing Swamp Thing. And finally, on weekday mornings from 5-6am, Night Gallery and ALF will take over replacing the combo of Peter Gunn and Night Gallery. This means ALF will air again on weekdays (as it was relegated to Saturday late nights/early Sunday mornings from 5-7am) and will lead into the 6am hour of The Facts of Life and Diff'rent Strokes.
