TV NEWS DECEMBER 31

Welcome to a special New Year's style edition of the News Blog! As we end 2015 and start 2016, today we will give you a marathon recap on TV today and tomorrow (New Year's Eve and New Year's Day)! Some of the major TV stunts we mentioned already were Antenna TV's New Year's Eve marathon of Burns & Allen and Jack Benny Program beginning at 8pm New Year's Eve and lasting into New Year's Day morning at 5am. On New Year's Day, they will have once again "The Fresh Start Marathon," which will be pilot episodes of your favorite shows followed by another "first" that happened on each show from 5am ET-11pm ET leading into the premiere of Johnny Carson on Antenna TV. The A-Team joins the Encore Classic Network with a New Year's Eve marathon beginning at 7pm through 7pm New Year's Day. That's not all for The A-Team, though, as COZI TV launches it with a marathon on New Year's Day beginning at 6am. TV One will have a New Year's Day Girlfriends marathon from 8am-9pm. We mentioned that WPIX in New York will of course have their annual The Honeymooners marathon starting at 11pm on New Year's Eve through 5pm on New Year's Day (only a break from 5am-9am for news). Also in New York City, WLNY-TV 55/10 will have a marathon of The Odd Couple once again starting at midnight on New Year's Eve night through 6pm on New Year's Day for the fourth straight year.

Today we remember the sitcom actors, actresses, producers, directors, writers and other crew members who died in 2015. We lost stars from Archie Bunker's Place, The Beverly Hillbillies, F Troop, Happy Days, Hazel, Make Room for Daddy, The Partridge Family, Petticoat Junction and many more who are greatly missed. We thank them for bringing us many laughs.

COZI TV announced the addition of The A-Team, the popular 1980s action-adventure series starring Mr. T and George Peppard, to its lineup of iconic programming starting New Year's Day. The A-Team kicks off on COZI TV with a day-long marathon on January 1 beginning at 6AM; the series will then air every night – both during the week and on weekends – at 10PM, with the exception of Friday nights. The hit show, which aired on NBC from 1983 to 1987, featured a former commando unit turned mercenaries. The team was framed for robbing the Bank of Hanoi and sent to a U.S. military prison, which they escaped from and led a life on the run. While underground, they became heroes for hire around the world, working as good-guy vigilantes. Each member of The A-Team served a key role: Hannibal, played by Peppard, was the team's leader and a connoisseur of disguises; his teammate, Face, played by Dirk Benedict, was known for being quite the ladies' man and a con-artist; Mr. T's B.A. or Bad Attitude was their strong man and mechanic who assisted during moments of chaos; and Howling Mad Murdock played by Dwight Schultz was an expert pilot and a certified lunatic, who was the team broke out of a mental hospital when they needed him for a mission.

You got it dude! The Tanner family is back...but the house is a little "Fuller" this time around. On Friday, February 26 Netflix will debut the 13-episode spinoff, Fuller House, in all territories where Netflix is available. In Fuller House, the adventures that began in 1987 (and ended in 1995) on Full House continue, with veterinarian D.J. Tanner-Fuller (
Candace Cameron
Bure) recently widowed and living in San Francisco. D.J.'s younger
sister/aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and D.J.'s
lifelong best friend/fellow single mother Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber),
along with Kimmy's feisty teenage daughter Ramona (Soni Nicole
Bringas), all move in to help take care of D.J.'s three boys - the
rebellious 12-year-old Jackson (Michael Champion), neurotic 7-year-old
Max (Elias Harger) and her newborn baby, Tommy Jr (Messitt Twins).
