Freshmen Rylie Haas and Mary Paige Nesfeder are off to sizzling starts in their collegiate volleyball careers -- Haas at Eastern University and Nesfeder at Catholic.
Haas made an immediate impression for Eastern when she collected MVP honors at the season-opening Haverford Tournament. The Freedom High School graduate registered 23 digs in Day 1 victories over Widener and Catholic and followed with 35 digs in Day 2 wins over Susquehanna and Haverford.
