FROM KEITH GROLLER
This is probably a show that a lot of Penn State fans won't want to see.
The advertisement for Showtime is calling it "a look at college football's darkest hour."
Armen Keteyian interviews the lead prosecutors in the Jerry Sandusky case for "60 Minutes Sports." The sports version of the CBS staple "60 Minutes" debuts at 10 p.m. on Wednesday. In the interview the prosecutors allege that Sandusky's abuse began as far back as the 1970s, and they are firm in their belief that prominent Penn State officials knew of Sandusky's behavior and did nothing to stop him.
Here are the details from a Showtime release:
THE PROSECUTORS
For the first time publicly, Frank Fina, Pennsylvania Chief Deputy Attorney General, and Joe McGettigan, the former federal prosecutor, describe how they built their case against Jerry Sandusky, exposing crimes that sullied the shining image of the Penn State University football program and ruined the reputation of its legendary coach, Joe Paterno. The men discuss their investigation, their strategy for prosecuting the serial pedophile and the way they handled the victims, whose testimony was crucial to the conviction.
