Setting the scene for the District 11 boys basketball semifinals

The quarterfinals are over and it's on to the semifinals in the District 11 boys basketball tournament.

Here's how they line up on Tuesday and Wednesday, remembering that three teams advance to states in both 4A and 3A and two in 1A, but just the champion in 2A. .

CLASS 4A

Wednesday night

At Easton Area Middle School

No. 9 Stroudsburg (14-11) vs. No. 4 Freedom (16-8) at 6 p.m.

No. 6 Parkland (19-7) vs. No. 2 Liberty (18-7) at 7:30 p.m. 

CLASS 3A

Tuesday night

At Allen

No. 6 Salisbury (16-8) vs. No. 2 Central Catholic (22-2) at 7:30 p.m.

At Blue Mountain

No. 5 Bethlehem Catholic (12-10) vs. No. 1 Pottsville (21-4) at 7:30 p.m.

CLASS 2A

At Allen

No. 2 Notre Dame-GP vs. No. 3 North Schuylkill (15-7)

At Parkland

No. 1 Catasauqua (16-6) vs. No. 4 Williams Valley (17-6)

CLASS A
