The NCAA Tournament began in earnest on Thursday and with an evening of four overtime games, the excitement brought the fans out in droves.
Overall, CBS, TBS, TNT and truTV garnered a 6.0 overnight rating with a 14 share making it the highest first Thursday rating for the games in 23 years. That’s up from last year’s 5.6/14.
The first primetime window which ran between 6:45 p.m. ET to 10:30 p.m. ET which had three OT’s had the highest rating averaging a 7.7/15 which is the highest rating in that timeslot since the NCAA Tournament went to four broadcast windows in 1991.
