A special sophomore leads Lincoln Park to win over Philly team in PIAA A boys title game

Maverick Rowan. Remember the name. He's a special player and he's only a sophomore. A 6-foot-7 sophomore, by the way.

Already a Pitt recruit, Rowan left an indelible mark on the PIAA tournament on Friday afternoon, scoring 37 points, including 9-for-9 at the line, as his Lincoln Park (30-1) outscored Philly's Math Civics and Sciences 19-9 in the fourth quarter and posted a 70-66 win in the Class A boys title game.

Elijah Minnie, an uncommitted 6-foot-9 senior, had  

Mike Watkins, a Penn State recruit, had 17 points and 17 rebounds for MCS (15-15) and Samir Doughty scored 26.
