Karl Keglovits' nine RBIs lead Nazareth legion to 16-5 victory over Fullerton in Region 2 playoffs

Karl Keglovits homered twice and drove in nine runs today to lead Nazareth Legion to a 16-5 victory over Fullerton in the first round of the American Legion Region 2 baseball tournament at Hostelley Field in North Wales, Pa.

Keglovits hit a grand slam in the second inning and added a two-run shot in the ninth. He also had a two-run single and an RBI groundout.

Dan Shepherd had four hits including a home run for Nazareth, which had 16 hits overall. Shane Siebler and Ben Schmitt contributed three hits each. Taylor Magditch pitched eight innings to earn the win.

Nazareth advances to the winner's bracket of the double elimination tournament and plays the Nor-Gwyn/Southern Area winner at 7:30 pm. Sunday.
